Win95 / 98 Access Set-Up
A. Required
1) Windows 95 operating system
2) Properly installed and configured dial up modem
3) Internet browser installed
a) Internet Explorer
b) Netscape Navigator
4) Your BUXCOM logon (lower case)
5) Your BUXCOM password (lower case)
6) Your BUXCOM email address
7) Script File buxcom.txt
B. BUXCOM Configuration information required for installation
1) Phone number for BUXCOM: (Phone number given to you by ISP)
2) BUXCOM primary server: 64.9.6.2
Secondary server: 64.9.6.3
3) BUXCOM mail server: mail.buxcom.net
C. Installation
1) Check to see if you have all necessary information before you start.
2) Start the Internet Connection Wizard
(normally located in the path
C:\Program Files\ICW-Internet Connection Wizard)
3) Double click on inetwiz to start the Internet Connection Wizard
(note: If an icon is available from your desktop or in your
programs menu for ICW-Internet Connection Wizard start
the program through the icon or program menu selection)
4) Select: Connect Using My Phone Line
{Next}
5) Name of Service Provider: Buxcom
{Next}
6) Phone Number: 215-78_-____
DO NOT select bring up terminal window
{Next}
7) Enter your assigned user name and password (lower case).
{Next}
8) IP address is assigned automatically
{Next}
9) DNS Server:
Primary: 64.9.6.2
Secondary: 64.9.6.3
{Next}
10) Internet Mail: Select Use Internet Mail
Enter your e-mail address
Internet Mail Server: mail.buxcom.net
{Next}
11) Windows Messaging Profile: Unless you have created a custom profile
select Next to continue without changing this selection screen
12) Select finish to complete the ICW Internet Connection Wizard
13) In the Program/Accessories path locate the Dial-Up Scripting Tool
and start it ( Note: If this is not listed, it may need to be
installed from the Win95 CD-See Control Panel\Add-Remove
Programs\Windows Setup)
14) Select Connections: Buxcom
15) Select File Name: pppmenu.scp using the Browse button to locate the
file in the directory.
Edit file to the following:

select File Save-as buxcom.scp
select File Exit
16) Select Close
NOTE: If you are having trouble go back to 15 and select Step thru
script so you can see what is happening.
17) The system will ask you if you want to accept modifications say Yes
18) You are now setup to connect to Buxcom.
You may either start your browser package, or click
My Computer\Dial-Up Networking then double click on the Buxcom icon.
You will be prompted to enter your password. Note: your browser may
need to be configured for the Buxcom address for mail server.
